About Charles

Charles Pike, a musician, composer, and instructor in the Portland-Metro area has been writing in web formats for almost 10 years and has maintained his own web sites for nearly as long. The most recent web site for his music company, www.Pike-Music.com, has allowed him access to more people and the ability to be seen around the world, one giant benefit of the web that we all share.

He began his advance in the field with www.estacadachamber.org, a local site providing information to its community and subsequently the world with an informative and simple design that allows maximum accessibility and ease of navigation. This chamber of commerce web site allowed him to understand the communication needs of the chamber members and provide the best possible resource for them to communicate and disseminate information.

Since then he has completed Flash templates, Javascript , PHP-server interaction, image enhancement and creation, and maintenance on all types of web content. The following sites best showcase his abilities:

A portfolio site for a local Estacada artist working on a world-wide scale in media formats for radio, television, www, and newspaper. Designed by a third-party Flash template company, all the content had to be updated to include the "muse's" materials and images. All work was completed in house and I believe the site speaks for itself.

Pike Music - www.pike-music.com

A web resource for students and other instructors to access their materials generated by Charles Pike's instructional and composition endeavors. A list of performances by him and his colleagues is kept up to date and you can always inquire about lessons and performances through the site. The site uses PHP for its loading and 'contact' features, an opening to database construction and development.

An informative website designed for the distribution of information among its members for the benefit of Estacada and the surrounding region.

This web site was a revamp of an existing site with added features including a database driven listing of obituaries and content editor for the owner's personal maintenance. This is by far the most advanced site completed by Pike Web Design because its simple design betrays the programming difficulty and preparation.
